Ethiopian-Cantonese

Just noticed Lake Langano at Clark & Wilson and looked up its menu. Intrigued by a variety of Ethiopian breakfasts, plus dinner items such as dulet, a lamb offal mince not otherwise seen hereabouts (AFAIK), and the Ethiopian take on standard "American" Chinese dishes. (Note how the "Americanized" Chinese repertoire is so similar to the Cubanized, Ethiopianized, Indianized, etc.) Anyone been? Add it to the list of [Your country here]-Chinese spots.

A bit off topic-I remember eating chinese food at a Tanzanian restaurant in Arusha, Tanzania. It was not so good but we did not get sick.

I've had a few chinese meals in East africa, they are usually indian style chinese food, because of the indian population in east africa. can't say that I've had chinese food in eitheopia. There was a period, in the 70's, when there were chinese military advisors in Ethiopia, and you might find some influences from that, I know that the chinese food in arab countries was often a tag along from chinese military advisors.

JeffB, did you end up eating at Langano? I am intrigued by the lamb offal, if maybe less by the take on Chinese. Long drive from the West Side though, would love to hear impressions.
