Hello everyone. Can someone please help me find a "happy hour" deal that offers fresh shucked oysters at a reasonable price in the area near the NBC tower and 21 screen movie theatre on Illinois....thanks all

You're about a 10-12 minute walk (each way, of course) from Shaw's which offers a large selection of fresh oysters daily. Cheap? No. But fairly priced ($14/half dozen). Here's a menu:

Worth checking Benny's Chop House as well:

I can't comment on Benny's because I've never been, but it's around the corner from Shaw's, so they're equidistant from you. I'd suggest looking at their menus and if it's the oysters driving the craving then you'll be hard-pressed to do better than Shaw's.

Ok spiny, but the OP asked about deals and Benny's used to have a Happy Hour special which is why I mentioned it and suggested that (s)he check the website and give a call.

Shaw's Oyster Bar still has their daily oyster happy hour. That is your best bet.

Friends of mine go to Devon Seafood Grill for happy hour oysters. (I've never been.)

Maybe give Fulton on the River a try.

I found a nice oyster deal. Pops for Champagne has a variety fresh oysters available for $1.00 (only in divisibles of 3) between 3:00-7:00pm. I've been there twice in the last month, the service is very friendly and the product is very good. The oysters are served with a nice selection of sides. Recommended.
