Onion strings (fried and baked?) in a bread pan to come out looking like a bread loaf - can be cut like a loaf, etc. My home attempts have been met with derision. Not quite like the awful Tony Roma's chain - these are more dense.
I would like to find a place closer than Versailles, Ky (pronounced Ver-Sales) to take her to. The closer to Milwaukee, the better.
This is what she is pining for. It does not have to be a fancy place, but a steak house would be better.
