We are going to try this one again. The original 29th Dessert Exchange was cancelled due to lack of participation. I will be hosting at my home in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. There is easy access from I88, 290, 294, Rt. 83, Roosevelt Rd and 22nd Street; I will PM directions the week prior. If the weather cooperates, we'll dine outdoors on the patio, if not, we'll be indoors. I can accomodate 10 people, including myself.

    Rules are:

    - I'll provide a light meal. Please let me know if you are vegetarian or have any food allergies or particular dislikes.
    - Bring one dessert, enough to feed 10 people
    - Bring containers to cart home the desserts. You may want to bring several; one for refrigerated items, one for other items, etc.
    - Come hungry!

    Attendees

    Ms. Ingie - Rhubarb Cheesecake
Toria - What the Spirit moves :-)
Cathy 2 - Lemon Icebox Pie
    UCJames - Artisan Chocolates
irisarbor - Girl Scout Cookie Pizza
Pie Lady - coconut marshmallows and Lemon Lavendar Pie
Cookie Monster - lemon pound cake
    mrsm - Torta
    LauraS - TBD
Ruth (mrsm guest) - Rhubarb Custard Pie (if she can find rhubarb)
SueF - Tunnel of Fudge Cake

    Hi,

Once more, I will attempt a lemon ice box pie.

I'd like to make it for this one since I actually have that Sunday open. Would something in more of a candy vein be acceptable? That's not necessarily what I'd end up making, but I took a good 11-week class on chocolate at Triton College recently, and I've really been enjoying making chocolates and other confections since then. For a Hawaiian themed party yesterday I took a classic nougat recipe and replaced the more typical fill-ins with macadamia nuts and dried pineapple, papaya and mango. It turned out to be pretty fun to make, and a big hit at the party.

As far as food goes I can't really eat mushrooms, unfortunately.

I think I'm having a graduation party on Saturday, but what the heck- I'm going to go ahead and say Yes!
I'll probably do some kind of cookie so I can bake ahead and put them in the freezer due to the time/exhaustion factor...LOL
Although you should have seen the whirlwind of activity I ended up being this weekend LOL
I had to come to work to relax...

I'll come too! If Cathy doesn't mind, I'll bring the lemon lavender pie this time. Otherwise, I have two other ideas to pick from. Either way, I'm making coconut marshmallows too.
