Believe me, I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not being there. I just hit it too damned hard on Wednesday night/Thursday morning to do anything last night. Next time, I am in!

I might have to clear my schedule just because this thread is so damned amusing. Put me down as a tentative yes.

Where is it this time, Floyds again? For a minute I thought Intensity in Ten Cities is a terrible name for a bar...

By the way, what the hell is with the vortex bottle? Does it do anything? When I get there, we can bitch about the punch-top can.

Unless one is trying to demonstrate/overcome the Coriolis effect,

both of these enhancements to beer-pouring technology (IMO)

They're marketed as ways to improve/expedite beer pouring because "new technologies to help you guzzle at an alarming pace" would probably be frowned upon as a marketing angle.

The punch-top can will save frat guys everywhere the trouble of fumbling with keys, screwdrivers, etc. in order to punch shotgun holes in the sides of their cans.

Remember back in the day, when you had to open the giant can of Hawaiian Punch by punching holes in the top with a churchkey? If you just punched a single, big triangular hole and then tried pouring, the punch would pour slowly and do the messy "glug-glug-glug" thing, but if you punched a second, smaller triangle in the top opposite the initial hole, that would allow air to vent in, resulting in faster, smoother, cleaner pouring.

The punch-top can is the same concept, only no churchkey required.

I do remember that. But this is a 12-ounce can as opposed to a half-gallon or whatever that was. Besides, the commercials show 20-somethings on the beach, at big parties, etc...how many people are pouring into glasses instead of directly down their gullet?

Just a trivial bitch from somebody who doesn't drink beer. But I've poured many a root beer for that frosty mug taste, and I never had this moment:

    Ronnie, et al

You need a hand tool of some type to make the impression in the punch top can. The efficacy is amazing. And you cant shotgun a punch top can without carving the typical cavity into the side of the can, bro.

The NAV MAN has no problem gunning a few brewcats for you guys on the 28th. Ill even gun down a bottle if you can handle it.

I think a house key is the quintessential shotgun tool.

Someone once gave me one of these...it saw much use on guys'-weekend camping trips.
