Looking for some LTH intel here. I came across these guys at the North Center Ribfest, and I must say they were the best ribs that I sampled over the weekend. To my surprise, after a quick Google seach they seem to have a prescence in Chicago. I also noticed that Toon's logo was featured on their banner.

A Google Maps search of their address reveals a residential neighborhood. This, and some of the phrasing on their website gives strong indication they are strictly a catering operation, without a sit down location.

Hey everyone. rmtraut thanks for trying our ribs. I met Johnny several months ago and we hit it off, a Texan and a Kansas boy with a passion for BBQ. I had always wanted to do Ribfest but just never had the logistics or crew to take the plunge. He wanted to do it and we decided to team up. A commercial kitchen landed in our lap and off we went. He has an amazing crew so we worked our tails off preparing. We are all moving slow today and feeling it a bit. We had a lot of laughs and and served some amazing Ribs. We learned a lot and had a bunch of fun. Johnny is looking for a space now as he is not at Diversey Harbor anymore. He is available for Catering jobs of all size. We have done a few things at Toons and plan on working together on more things as well. We serve a similar rib at Toons all the time as well. We may do Uptown Rib fest later this year as well.

So there's the Toon's connection. Thank you for clarifying. I ended up going back for some more of Johnny Van's ribs on Sunday night before the Heartless Bastards show.... good stuff. I'll have to tear myself away from the Jive Turkey at Toon's and try your ribs next time.
