These days I either brown bag or hit the salad bar in my office building, but today I wanted to get outside, so I walked to Curried. Poor choice on my part.

I spent $9 for a plate of bland "spiced" rice (an unfortunate attempt at pilau), a scoop of lentils cooked with kidney beans to the point of being texture-free, and a scoop of mushy chana masala. My $9 plate of food came with what I can only describe as WonderNaan - bland, undercooked, flavorless naan-like bread substance.

When I picked up my bag, I asked about chutney. $.37/each.

Despite Curried's location on my route from office to the CTA, I do not intend to return.

I have not been to the actual Curried restaurant, but did have lunch from their lunch truck last week... twice...

I enjoyed their Chicken Masala. A little on the sweet side, but it complemented the slow heat from the gravy. The palak paneer was very well done and generous with the paneer. The 2nd time I tried the aloo mutter, which was just ok. There was no naan onboard, and both lunches were packed with rice. I think their lunches are $9 which is more expensive and smaller than Baba Palace, but they were not greasy and very well spiced. I finished every last bite both times, which is not normal for me and most food trucks... :)
