This one is set to "bread sauce," which contains full fat milk, butter, AND double cream, along with clove-studded onions that get tossed, but there are many other fun and useful ones in the middle navigation bar. I love the calming voices of the presenters, useful ingredients and equipment list, and the very British look of all of the final products (including the focaccia); it all seems simultaneously quaint and heartily delicious.

Cool. I've bookmarked the site, for future exploration, but now I want to make bread sauce. Anything with that much fat can't be too bad.

Just *love* M. Roux! Spent all last Fall in London, watching him on Brit cooking shows! Tnx for the memories, C2!

Students in a college history class created this hilarious video about pre- and post-imperial British cuisine, styled after those popular youtube videos in which people taste other people's food. The truly amazing part of this video is that two young women made all the food themselves in a dorm kitchen one weekend. Ten very funny minutes, with a bit of actual information thrown in around the edges.
