I happened to be in the area, planned to go to the Himalayan Restaurant around the corner but when I spotted this place...
http://wow-restaurant.com/The menu is solidly Middle Eastern and when asked where the Egyptian influence come in it was mentioned the spicing profile is different, if you have discerning taste buds it will be apparent. Also the Falafel is made with Lima Beans instead of Chickpea.
The food is well prepared. Tender, flavorful and juicy. I had the Beef Shawarma plate and My Bride the Chicken Shawarma sandwich and both were good with a lot of food. The Lentil soup was very good as well.
They have two spits going and finish on the flattop.
I would stop again if in the area.
... and yes, the owners are Egyptian.
