Adam Richman was in Chicago last week, article in Trib today says it was for promotion of a Jim Beam sponsored food truck. What I'm not seeing info on is if he was shooting anywhere in the city for his show The Best Sandwich In America. How could he not be filming an episode while here? There are so many possibilities! :)

...But I have not seen or heard a word of any sightings. Anybody know the deal? :?:

Caught that show once - thinnest thread of an idea. What's next, "America's best use of broccoli?"

Is he doing Round Two of his previous visit?

I think it's a great premise for a show, and it totally works for me. It's as much a travel log as a food show, and as someone who's always looking for epic sandwich experiences, I think it's great. I especially appreciate Richman's talent for describing the sensual nature of what he's eating. So many Food Network people bite into a sandwich and just moo like a cow and go "mmmmmmm!", and can't articulate very well what they're tasting. Richman describes how the flavors work together, the crunch (textures) if applicable, bite, etc.

I just wondered which Chicago area places we could look forward to seeing, and if anybody had spotted him filming.

Beam Brands wrote "we recently partnered with Adam to help create Red Stag inspired dishes for our Food Truck that is touring the country."

Whenever I've watched Man v Food at least once during the show I think Seth (Seth Zurer) would be perfect for this role.
    One minute to Wapner.

I found it interesting that Richman stated in the Tribune article that he hadn't done a Food Challenge in about 2 1/2 years. He said the Travel Channel was "running the sprockets off those old episodes". He's clearly moved on with these new tangents.
