Hi- just ran across this on yahoo.
http://gma.yahoo.com/century-old-whiske ... ories.htmlThis gentleman in St. Joseph, Missouri is rehabbing an old house he just bought recently. He was doing some work in the attic, when he ran across 13 bottles of whiskey that were distilled in 1912. They were bottled in 1917. He found them underneath some floorboard. He is going to hold on to them until 2017, and then pop them open. It is unclear if they are still edible.
Apparently at one time, the house was once owned by a gentleman who had to give up the house when he reported to a sanitarium for drinking problems.
Hope this helps, Nancy
