Has anyone visited El Capitan at 3758 W. Armitage? This Honduran restaurant was accidentally discovered during a walk thru at the recent Taste of Latin America. The resto flys the Honduran flag outside the building, and food specials are on display in the front Window.

My companion (born in Honduras) and I walked inside and talked to a young woman that turned out to be part owner. Apparently the restaurant has been open for 6 months. We looked over the menu and my companion was quite impressed. She is anxious to go and try.

I just thought I would toss out a feeler to see if any other fellow foodies may have tried this.

    Thanks!

Hmmm...I've been working within blocks of there for the last 5 years, and for as long as I can remember it's been El Capitan. There's a chance my memory goes back only a couple years, but it was definitely El Capitan in 2010.

Maybe new ownership, or new vision?

If they are open for lunch, I'll give it a go sometime soon and report back.

I live close as well....I'll try to make a point of stopping in there. I've never had Honduran food, so I'm down to get experimental 'n shit.
