Bob Spitz, Julia Child Biographer. Thursday, September 13. 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Bob Spitz, author of Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child, will be at LVDL as part of our ongoing "Authors Out Loud" program. This wonderfully affectionate biography is a clear-eyed portrait of one of the most fascinating and influential Americans of our time — a woman known to all, yet really known by only a few. A book sale and signing, courtesy of the Lake Forest Book Store, will follow the program. Please register @ https://il.evanced.info/lvdl/lib/eventsignup.asp?ID=14251

You can hear me talk to Bob on WBEZ with The Morning Shift host Tony Sarabia tomorrow too, and online soon after the broadcast. You can also meet Bob at an author luncheon in Vernon Hills at the Aspen Drive Library. The very affordable $7 boxed lunch is optional, with a complimentary French-inspired dessert no less, but registration is required.

Please get me an autographed copy and I will pay you ASAP. The timing does not work for me to be there.

You will have a copy. :D

Do you want it signed to someone or author signature and date?

    Regards,

    Hi,

I really enjoyed last night's talk with a generous Q&A.

A good dose is available from this Chicago Tonight interview. Bonus, there are links (I didn't quite see them, but it was mentioned by Carol) of Julia's two interview on Chicago Tonight.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
