North Burbs Happy Hour options: food and dropping in?

I know "happy hour" drink specials aren't permitted in IL but wonder about places that might have food specials, casual atmosphere, etc. Already know about Sushi Ra in the Glen and McCormick&Schmick in Old Orchard. Like somewhere people could just drop in if they wanted.

Maybe from the lake to Milwaukee Ave, and say Old Orchard-ish to Highland Park?

My coworkers and I frequently hit up Morton's in Northbrook for their bar specials. A select list of items are half price in the bar from 5-6:30 I believe

They have fillet sandwiches, great mini burgers, blue cheese fries, etc all for around $7. Not cheap when you factor in what the drinks cost, but it's still a great spot

Bar Louie in Evanston has $1 burgers after 5pm on tuesdays.

Demetri's in Deerfield is currently running half price appetizers in the bar from 3:30 to 6 Monday - Friday, with the only exclusions being Sam's Special Combo Plate, the Demetri's Combo, and the Mediterranean Combo. Considering they probably have 30+ appetizers between the hot and cold sections, there are a ton of options to choose from and some excellent deals can be had. For red wine folks, I recommend the Skouras Saint George Agiorgitiko for around $7 a glass. I know they're running the appetizer special at a minimum for the rest of September, so I'd call first if you're heading out in October to verify. Here's the full appetizer menu:

Saranello's in the Westin on Milwaukee just South of Lake Cook is a Lettuce restaurant and they have a pretty good looking happy hour.
