OK - Yom Kippur's next week. By then I will have atoned for all of my sins, including those as Esteemed Coordinator of the LTH North Lunch Group.

Starting off the new year with a clear conscience, I shall muster the LTH North Group at:

    R & V Italian Market & Deli
    13801 Laurel Dr
    Lake Forest, IL 60045
    (847) 816-6468
    http://www.randvdeli.com

I've never actually eaten at this establishment. Nor is it mentioned anywhere on LTH. It comes to us at the recommendation of WillG.

Come join us. As always, bring a friend.

I'm in. I recommended it because Matt can walk there. It is a deli that is run by a company that imports food from Italy. It reminds me a bit of Bacio's. They have good sandwiches (an excellent italian beef) and is a very good value. They also have various daily hot dishes available, i.e. chicken piccata or eggplant parm.

50/50 for now on this, I'd really like to make it.
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

Was hoping to pop in but a work meeting was just scheduled for Friday so I'm definitely out.

Great place -- definitely worth a return visit.
Hot and cold sandwiches (e.g. italian sausage, prosciutto, respectively), pastas and hot dishes (eggplant parm appears on the sandwich list too), a decent array of drinks by the bottle/can (including pellegrino arancina).

    Hi,

This place is in west Lake Forest in the middle of an industrial park, near several horse farms and north of Costco. I would not have casually bumped into it. My thanks to Will G for noting their ad in a local newspaper.

    Regards,
    Cathy2
