Chinese Barbecue Dinner at Sun Wah 9/29 7pm

Post #1 - September 27th, 2012, 2:00 amI am hosting a BYOB dinner Saturday the 29th at Sun Wah.
Menu will be
Roast whole pig
Peking Ducks with steamed buns
Duck Soup
Duck with stir fried noodles
Duck Fried Rice
Beef with Satay Sauce
Mikes fried Chicken
Seafood Combination
Stir Fried Chives
Fried Tofu
Sorbet
Cost will be thirty dollars a person. I have hosted for Chicago Dining out group and this is my first posted event here.
PM to rsvp and the deadline is three pm on Saturday.

I hope that you will continue to participate in LTH events and continue to post on the board. A few suggestions. Two days is really not enough notice for people. Consider two weeks notice. Second, Sun Wah is a board favorite, but dinners at Sun Wah have often been sponsored by Kelly Cheng herself. Third, it is rare that we have an LTH event on Saturday night. So if you do not get a large response, these might be the reasons.

I actually thought GAF's notes were quite useful, as they were clearly intended to be.
Fawn, if you take a look at some of the threads in the Events Forum, you'll get a better sense of how events generally come together here. Short notice can often (though, not always) be an obstacle, as can scheduling on weekends -- at least for many LTHers.
