We are excited to have this dynamic couple back for a book-signing at our Old Town Shop, The Spice House, 1512 North Wells Street, Chicago, Il. 60610 on October 17th from 6:30 - 8:00. We will have THE FLAVOR BIBLE and WHAT TO DRINK WITH WHAT YOU EAT available for sale, or bring your own books to be signed. Our staff always enjoys getting into the kitchen and preparing dishes inspired by the authors. We will offer creative variations of squash soup, beef tenderloin, pork belly, flat breads and spiced nuts, along with some sweet treats and paired beverages. Karen and Andrew are very interactive so come enjoy this opportunity to chat with them. The event is free, but we do request an rsvp so we know how much food to prepare. RSVP via phone, 312 274 0378, or email spices@thespicehouse.com

Attended a lecture of theirs when Food Bible came out that was excellent. Probably the book I've most recommended in the ensuing yrs. Will definitely be there.

If you don't own The Flavor Bible, get it. Highly recommended.

    Hi,

I remember their talk very well. Too bad it was before Culinary Historians had a partnership with Chicago Public Radio, I would love to offer a link to listen to it again.

    Regards,

We are super excited about tonight. Three of our most talented culinary people have been working hard on our tasting samples. We will have spicy versions of squash soup, pork belly, some creative grilled flat breads, beef tenderloin, and one of our favorite snacks, spiced nuts. Feel free to stop on by. The authors are also wonderful to talk to, they have led quite the interesting lives!
