Hi everyone - I could use some advice.

My hard-to-please brother and his family are coming to visit this weekend from Wisconsin.

He mentioned wanted to visit a former favorite of his - the Sunday buffet at P.S. Bangkok.

Unfortunately, P.S. Bangkok hasn't had a Sunday buffet for 6 years.

Any ideas for alternative Asian selections? (But not Dim Sum - I told you, he's hard to please.)

I guess the ideal would be a Thai or other Asian Sunday buffet in the city.

    Thanks

    Doug

While I'm not a huge fan of buffets, a friend of mine occasionally takes me to - http://www.thaiclassicrestaurant.com/home.html

IMO - good quality for a buffet. As a matter of disclosure, I haven't been there for about a year.

If you want a chinese buffet I would suggest 'Royal Buffet ' in Hoffman Estates which is very close to Woodfield mall..

I'd ask what he liked at P.S. Bangkok, then go to your favorite Thai joint and order a meal based on that. Probably the same price as a buffet, and if it costs more, it'll be worth it anyway to get what YOU want instead of what's just on the line that day at some random restaurant. (I just don't know of any great Chinese buffets or Thai buffets around town. Mediocre? sure. Great? No.)
Interesting thread tho. I'll definitely be reading through the suggestions.
