Wanted to throw a little attention with my first post toward a neighborhood bistro that I hope succeeds.
I first wanted to clear up any confusion that may linger (that I once had), it appears Filo is not affiliated with the previous tenant Filichia, despite the similar name. Luckily they don't seem to share the same inability to keep half their menu in stock.
BYOB and a menu between $10 and $13. All entrees come with a soup, I had the black bean my girlfriend had the lentil. The black bean soup was the only miss of the evening, just needed some salt. The lentil was great. I had a delicious steak with roasted potatoes, my girlfriend loved her chicken curry with rice. Generous portions and perfectly seasoned and cooked. There's still an 8 year old in me that doesn't like beets. Oh well. Service was friendly and on point.
I think for now maybe Filo is getting the pre Empty Bottle show crowd that brought beer to Bite, but found the line too long, and opted for plan B. Hopefully Filo will become plan A soon.
Pretty sure they're only open Thursday-Sunday, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
