I just bought tickets for Saturday afternoon. It's currently 33% off any of the tickets, for 33 hours.... But I'm not sure when that started. I had a great time at the low country oyster roast last year and am looking forwards to attending in a few weeks!

I attended this film fest tonight and it was amazing. Six films, mostly short, each film had the food that the film focused on served with it, while the film was run. The film on the Speakeasy Supper-Club was accompanied by a whole plate of food which included one of the courses in the film. A petite tender filet, watercress pesto and a corn sauce. Some of the subjects of the films were actually there to chat with, and very proud of both their work and their film, and justifiably so. The Sugar Shack, a Quebecois institution which makes maple syrup the old fashioned way, had the second generation farmer, son of Pierre Faucher (who they dubbed the Most Interesting Man in the World) there personally pouring maple syrup on ice to make a frosty maple Popsicle. When the films were finished then came the "after party" where there were lots more tastings including Phillip Foss and his take on "ice cream and French fries." A really well put together event. If I was not going to Milwaukee tomorrow, I would be buying tickets right now for both the Friday and Saturday night. If you have been on the fence about attending, get off and go!
