    Anyone been to Luisa's....almost exactly mid way between Lake Geneva and Kenosha on Rt. 50..

    Food to us is only 50 percent of the equation....but it just looks (from the outside) so old school and historic.....but it is so far away from anything...wondering if it is worth the drive when staying in either of the above mentioned cities.....

    Just a great old bar would be worth it..food a bonus.....

    I assume this is the place;

    Luisa's Pizza
    Highway 50 & 317 Ave
    Salem , WI 53168
    262-537-4795

    Give 'em a call.

    This appears to be their website:

    The inside doesn't look like much from the pictures on Yelp, but if it's on par with the typical Wisconsin thin crust pizzas that many of us have had, then count me in.

    Enroute there is a great mushroom farm River Valley Farm. It has wonderful mushrooms of all varieties, compost as well as prepared foods. We also passed a butcher shop but did not go in due to time restraints.
    What disease did cured ham actually have?

    Let me also add how great the mushroom farm is.
    Every once and a while for holidays my father wanted lobster stuffed mushrooms.
    This is where I used to drive to get the mushrooms.

    If you are really, really bored there is a top museum in Burlington as well.

    I have been to Luisas once about 5 years ago.
    From what I remember it was good. It was a Friday evening and the bar was very full, we had to wait about 30 min for a table.
