Did anyone else watch this tonight? The premiere featured Salud in Chicago. The inspector that came looked like none of the inspectors we've ever had! And she wrote notes on a steno pad... No clipboard or city form. Seems to me like she was an actress!

I watched a couple of episodes of Restaurant Stakeout. Then I read that some of the restaurant workers are actors, and I felt like an idiot. Too many reality shows are heavily scripted.

The DuPage Co. health inspector who was inspecting the restaurant where I was eating lunch this morning was using a small pad to record her temperatures and the like.

When she was complete with the inspection, she sat down at the bar, pulled out her notebook and completed the form.

To me, she seemed to want to work with the owners to get things right and to help them understand safe food handling than the usual "gotcha" inspections that I encountered in many of the large cities where I worked.
