Don't know the answer to that, but as I posted in the Openings Closings thread about a week ago, the new awning is up on the outside of the storefront.

Stopped in the newly opened Edzo's in Lincoln Park on Friday, and was happy to report that it was delicious and busily hopping along already. Foot traffic around 1pm was busy, and they had 7 people working, which seemed like quite a bit for such a small space. Service and food were excellent, and I plan on returning frequently.

I was there on Friday for a late lunch (2:00ish) and thoroughly enjoyed my single griddle burger with cheddar, along with a small fry (plain, the way nature intended :)). Sat at the counter and enjoyed talking to the guys (Eddie had to run back to Evanston) who all seem to love working there. SO glad they're in the city. And it's just far enough from my house to make for a nice walk to burn off the calories from the meal!!

we're running special fries now. the five-onion fries are no longer with us (they'll return at some point or another), but they featured a sea-salt onion dust, caramelized onion cream, scallions, and frizzled leeks.

our current fry special is lobster fries--we toss the fries in drawn butter and Maine lobster meat, then drizzle with a lemon-saffron aioli and top with chopped chives and more lobster meat.

you can follow us on twitter at @edzosburgershop or @edzoslincolnprk, and we announce the specials there, along with on the facebook pages, when they change.

also, just FYI, we we will be closed 12/24-1/2 for our annual holiday hibernation period. and it's good to see some familiar faces down at the new location.

    thanks,

    Eddie

PS, the edzos.com website isn't set up yet to include the new location. that's something I'm working on, and it should be up fairly soon.

for the most up-to-date info, check the facebook pages specific to each restaurant, or the twitter feeds, which I do my best to keep up on.

Went to the Lincoln Park location yesterday. Had a double griddled with Merkt's and a order of Taylor Street fries. Even though Eddie wasn't there the quality was just as good as the Evanston spot-- everything was delicious. Really, it's wonderful that it's no longer necessary to get up to Evanston to eat this burger. It's my second favorite in the Chicago area after Owen & Engine.

I was there at a slow time (2:30 on a Thursday) so seating was no problem but the location is substantially smaller than in Evanston. I'd be curious to see how seating shakes out during busier times.

Made it to Lincoln Park today, place was jumping at 1:45 and I was fortunate enough to get a parking spot right in front. Double griddled with cheddar and grilled onions was great and the Old Fries were the best I've had. Can't wait until they are open until 8pm so I can get here during the week.

I'm not sure this has been reported before, but you should know that if you visit the Lincoln Park location, they do not offer grilled burgers . . . only griddled (not enough space at this location for a grill I was told). This is mentioned on their website, however. Well, it just so happens that today was not only my first visit to the Lincoln Park location, but I had never had one of Edzo's griddled burgers and I was really craving one. So, I was in luck.

I got the single it was everything I could have hoped for. Pretty inexpensive too considering the location, quality and the fact that they grind their own beef. That being said, the best burger I've had of late was the All American Burger at Little Goat, which is similar in style to a Big Mac . . . but 100 times better.

One last note: given how I'm used to waiting in long lines at the Evanston location, I was surprised to find no line and very few people in the Lincoln Park location. I'm not sure if this is common, but it might be good to know (though it's also helpful to know that seating seems more limited at the Lincoln Park location).

Looks like prices have increased. I was bummed to see this, but mostly because it was funny to see the "$5 Milkshake" menu item which only cost $4. Now it's 4.75 and the "$5 Milkshake" moniker is gone.

    thanks for the clarification, Dave148.

we are actually in the process of updating online menus at the moment, so it's funny that this discussion would pop up right now.

current up-to-date menu's can be found on each of the restaurant's facebook pages now and should be up on http://www.edzos.com by monday or tuesday of next week:

    Edzo's Evanston's Facebook

    Edzo's Lincoln Park's Facebook

in fact, the Lincoln Park menu is so up-to-date that it's a bit ahead of schedule, so for a few days, the prices that will be charged in the restaurant will be a bit less than what you see there. enjoy!

also...just to note, the Evanston location's prices include all sales taxes. the LP location's do not....yet.
