Post #1 - November 9th, 2012, 12:08 pmsince there hasn't been any consensus on the next exchange, i'm taking this into my hands and announcing the next dessert exchange WILL BE HELD JANUARY 13, 2013 at 4pm, with a light dinner before diving into the desserts. november has thanksgiving; december has cookie monster's cookie exchange; and so january will be a good time to gather. it's a long way off, but i just want this on the calendar..... no one has to committ right now if they don't want to. and there's plenty of time to change the date if it turns out not to be a good one for enough people. i'll bump this in mid-december (someone can help me remember, if they'd be so kind!) justjoan

Post #7 - November 13th, 2012, 12:36 pmI am making a cake, probably a layer cake, that involves a fair amount of chocolate. I finished my year of pie and I am now on my year of cake. I also have 232 loose cake recipes to use and Chocolate Sunday is a-comin', so I need to test something out on my favorite guinea pigs exchangers.

Post #28 - January 6th, 2013, 11:47 ami have no idea what i'm making either for dinner or for my dessert, BUT---- i do believe that each dessert exchange we should try to get at least one new person to come. please, don't be shy- we love delicious desserts but they do NOT have to be complicated or challenging. i hope someone will take the plunge....we still have room for 2-3 more people. i live 2 blocks from the blue line in wicker park and there is free parking on my street and on north avenue just around the corner. i'm sending directions to sueF, toria, lauraS. i think everyone else knows where i live.....if i'm wrong, let me know. thanks, justjoan
