The Evanston lunch group will be meeting at 12:30 on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Badou's Senegalese Cuisine, 2055 W. Howard. Strip mall parking is available. I will arrange a menu with Badou in advance,
    Robert

I have a huge project due Friday, so Thursday is really going to be crunch time for me. It's looking iffy, but I'll do my best to make it to lunch. Hope to see you then!

Cathy--I ended up missing this lunch due to work, but EvA's post on the lunch as well as other posts on the main Badou thread made me sorry that I wasn't there. I'm hoping nr706 will still post photos when he has time....

I recently moved to Evanston, and am starting to explore the food options, and stopped by here last night. I walked in and the chairs were all arranged around the sides, and Badou told me they were having a private event, but he'd be glad to make me an order to go. I asked what he recommended (being new to Senegalese food), and he said everything, and then whipped me up an order of black-eyed peas, rice and collard greens with smoked pork. It was delicious, however, for $12, I hoped for a little more meat. I'll be back.
