I was going to say this doesn't narrow it down, until you mentioned the beer. I remember the scene now!

I'm looking for a beer reference I swear is in one of the books. Linked article mentions the mint juleps and champagne, Bollinger, of course.

*can't find the clip online, once source says his lady orders it first and he just orders another, but I remember he drinks it onscreen

What a wonderful party - mil gracias to Cathy and David, the Zaragozas, and all of you. Will need to budget more hours next year to make it to the singalong round!

Really wish I could have stayed out later, still lots of names and faces I need to put together.

We also had a wonderful time--our best LTH holiday party yet. The company was completely delightful and the food excellent (goat was fantastic). Sorry to have missed the singing, but we had plenty to drink and a long drive home. And a special thanks to mhl and justjoan, who between them provided jj's fantastic quadrados de l'oranja (orange squares) as Cabbagehead's raffle gift. They are truly delicious and a great treat, and we (and a few selected co-workers) have enjoyed them immensely.

thanks to everyone who helped put this together. I had a great time as well, and the new Zaragoza location was perfect! I look forward to more LTH meals there! I'm making a stock right now, from the goat bones I snagged from the kitchen.

Yes, a great time ... thanks for all the work that went into it. Moetchandon is enjoying justjoan's cookies, and I'm looking forward to Ronnie's 2013 calendar (I may give him a bottle of Kentucky Common in return). Zaragoza was an inspired choice, both for a hosting venue and a hosting family.

Mrs. W. C. and I had a great time at our first LTH event. We met some great folks and it was nice to associate a face to all the familiar names. Thank you all for your hospitality and making us feel welcomed. Zaragoza was a great choice, and the family is so down to earth and passionate about their preparations. We learned from Norma that her pozole is made with many different cuts of meat - no wonder it was so darn good! Hope to see you all soon.
