Russia wants to ban imports of U.S. pork and beef

Hi- I just read that Russia is set to ban the import of U.S. pork and beef on December 8th, unless negotiators from the U.S. can change their mind. The ban is because of a chemical added to the feed, which the USDA considers safe. Here is the link to the article.

Apparently this ban, is the result of some trade bill with Russia that congress passed recently, that put in stipulations about human rights in Russia.

Russia in general is not happy with us. The fracking that is providing lots of gas to the US has essentially killed imports. There were a a couple if HUGE lng terminals and fleets of ships set up to export to the US and now are being used to export to Europe undercutting the main income for Russia, fuel to Europe. That and their issues with existing pipelines having to pay taxes to other countries.

From a few reports I have read, their hard cash income has seriously gone down due to this and they are finding ways to retaliate.
