Post #1 - January 4th, 2013, 2:38 pmWe have been twice to the new train restaurant on Madison in Forest park. The head chef used to be the chef of Briejo, tomboy, etc. my dh and I liked the turkey burger and the pot roast sandwich. The food is much better than the other train restaurants in the Chicago area. Really nice homemade Mac and cheese and other kid friendly dishes.
If you have kids and are in the area, definitely worth a visit.

Granted I have only been once, but my wife went a second time, and still felt the same way about the food afterwards. Then again, I have not been to any of the other train restaurants for comparison."My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four. Unless there are three other people."

Thanks for drawing Junction Diner to my attention, Matt.
Had a very good Burlington Bacon Burger. Fresh beef, hand-formed, bacon and cheddar. Carolyn ordered for me while I was playing with the train stuff, and so I got the sweet potato fries, though my preference would have been the house-made potato chips.
