Hi- The new season for biggest loser started last night, and Jillian is back. It is good to see her back. The show started out with 15 adult contestants last night, and three teenage contestants. The teenagers stayed at the ranch for the first week, and then went home to their family. Each one of the teenagers has been assigned a coach, who will contact them regularly to check on their progress. The three students will also come back to the ranch for short periods of time occasionally.

The teenagers did not get weighed, and they did not have to suffer the constant abuse the other contestants did. They were mostly kept separately from the adults. The children will not be eliminated. The childhood obesity issue is why Jillian agreed to come back this season. She used to be obese as a child. It is good to see that they are profiling that this season.

Already two people have left the ranch. One got voted off last night, and one of the persons on Jillian's team left voluntarily. Jillian said that Nikki was not a good fit for the ranch.

The Biggest Loser is going to be on again tonight, but in the previews for tonight, they mentioned that the contestants are going to be locked up in a room for 4 1/2 hours with tempting food. It looked like it was mostly desserts. I realize that things like this increase ratings, but I think it is cruel to lock them up in a room with a large table full of junk food. I know they have done this before. Thanks, Nancy

I was very wary of them using kids this season, but I thought they actually handled it pretty well.
