    Hello--
I am trying to find a new place for a special date night. I love Maude's, Girl & the Goat, etc. I also prefer the River North/West Loop area, but am willing to travel.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Maybe you would enjoy Baume & Brix or Union Sushi?

    Consider retro: Geja's.

Even though we had a hit or miss experience with food at Boarding House, I still think it is a great date night spot. The main dining room is stunning and the wine bar on the main level is a energetic without being too much of a scene.

I also think Pops for Champagne is kind of fun as well.

Re this, for an impressive room with a lot of positive energy (as well as very good food), I would suggest Balena.

+1 on Balena....it's one of the best meals/experiences I've had while sitting at the actual bar. The bar is beautiful, and the bitters program is an interesting/unique liquor offering. Attention to detail, quality ingredients, and super suave decor. BOKA restaurant group really knows what they're doing in this industry.
I love comfortable food, and comfortable restaurants.

    I really like Balena too.

Within River North or West Loop my wife and I enjoy date nights at Baume & Brix and iNG best. Since you mentioned liking Girl & the Goat, Publican (West Loop) may be another to consider as they have some similarities.

    Great ideas!
I have never been to Baum & Brix or Balena.
Love the retro Gejas suggestion--I used to go there 15+ years ago!
