Look, it's a restaurant with 40+ seats. I think (actually, I know) they can handle more than 8 diners in an evening. But maybe, if you're choosing to go on the same night, you could stagger your start-time by 30-45 minutes so they don't get hit with 2 larger groups at the exact same moment.

Hotdish = starch (tater tots, potato chips, french-fried onions) + canned soup base (cream of mushroom, chicken, celery or a combo of one or more) + a meat (and/or veggies). For example, my mom's recipe for tater tot hotdish: cream of mushroom soup + can of milk + can of veg-all + ground beef + tater tots. Real fancy.
