    A group of about 7, including at least 1 vegetarian. Otherwise, no particular prejudices or requirements. I believe it's a pretty rich area, but not my usual stomping ground. (Less expensive is better than more, however.)

    Try Cumin, an excellent Indo-Nepalese restaurant at 1414 North Milwaukee. The Northern Italian restaurant Tocco has excellent pastas and pizzas at 1266 North Milwaukee. The Savoy at 1408 North Milwaukee is popular but I'm not wild about it.

    Don't know hoe casual you want, but Antique Taco (1360 N Milwaukee) is awesome for meat, fish and beg eaters. Solid cocktails too.
