I've seen a couple of threads about Vienna products found outside of Chicagoland (
1,
2), but there didn't seem to be a central spot for this info. A Chicago-style hot dog place even opened here in Charlottesville, VA, trafficking in skinless Vienna hot dogs, though it closed before I moved back (it's not a big hot dog town)

I was recently in Coronado, California and walked past a place called Delux - a hot dog and hamburger joint. Being on Orange Ave. in Coronado, not Western Ave in Chicago, it looked quite a bit different than the hot dog stands I came to love during my time in Chicago. I would have kept walking, had I not seen the Vienna logo displayed. Vienna hot dog on a resort island off the coast of San Diego? Sign me up.
Though I didn't have time to eat, I ran in, asked the lady at the counter if they were skinless or natural casing Vienna dogs. She checked and let me know they were natural casing! Winner, winner, weiner!
The next day I came back and ordered a dog with mustard, onions, and sport peppers (neon relish on offer, but not my thing).
Sadly, this was a skinless dog. Tasty, but disappointing.
