    Are you sure it's in MW? I always thought it was in Winchester.

    Da Beef;
    I have to run up from MKE to Iron Mountain, MI to get some kids from Scout Camp. Any suggestions for the way up, or on the way back where they will ignore the kid's stench from lack of bathing? thanks in advance, pictures will be posted.

    How about the Supper Club at the Shaffer Park Resort in Crivitz? It comes heavily endorsed in Ron Faiola's new book titled 'Wisconsin Supper Clubs: An Old-Fashioned Experience'. A must own if you're a fan of them like I am. Shaffer's offers perch and walleye but it's the fried chicken that Ron and all of their longtime customers love. "Made with Grandma Shaffer's secret recipe, the moist, plump chicken is fried in lard. It's the best I've ever had". As far as taverns go, if theres one that wont let the kids in it's probably bc it doubles as a gentleman's club 8) .

    Shaffer's is a good suggestion. We go up regularly and stay at the resort. Most of our meals are prepared in our rooms or grilled, but we have eaten at the supper club. Keep in mind that Patty of Patty's Diner (RIP) is cooking at the Peshtigo River Resort in Crivitz. Thread here.
