Lunch in the Grant Park/Mokena area?

I am heading to Grant Park on Thursday morning to do my garden plant shopping at Sunrise greenhouse. Any recommendations for lunch? We are traveling down I294 from the O'Hare area.

By any chance did you mean Manteno? I saw the topic title and took a look, if only to know which "Grant Park" you were talking about since neither are particularly close to Mokena.

There are/were a couple interesting Mexican places on Ill1/Dixie Hwy in Beecher (Habanero Grill, Burrito Jerez), but I haven't been to either in a while. Other than those, the only other place worth considering for lunch is (was? hope it's still open!) Dal Santo's in Crete. It's a few blocks west of Ill394 on Steger Rd...good deli sandwiches.

I am with on this. Did you mean Manteno? Because Mokena is probably 40 minutes away from Grant Park. I realize that the day has already passed that you were heading South, but if you still have interest, I will be very glad to post several recommendations along your route.
