I saw the link to the festivals but sometimes there are Chicago restaurants who have a special Morel menu. Many years ago, there was a restaurant in Lombard that had a Morel tasting menu for the month of May (or while the morels lasted).

Rpm Italian has a morel and ramp angliotti. I also went last night and asked for a pasta with morels and lobster and this is what they served. (not on the menu but they made this for me).

It was really good! I enjoyed it. To be honest, I didn't look at the bill to see how much they charged so I'm not sure. It wasn't outrageous as the total bill for my partner and me was about average for my visits there.

Other than RPM, has anyone spotted morels on any menus recently? I'm watching likely restaurants on FB for daily specials, but not seeing too much out there.

I sauteed them in butter along with some shitakes, and portabella's. Added salt, pepper, and some fresh garlic. Deglazed pan with white wine. Added cream and freshly grated parm/regg. Then added some sherry and nutmeg. Let it thicken a bit and served over linguine. Beautiful to spread that taste around.
