    Hi,

I have gone to a few of these Ikea festival dinners. Talking to their catering manager once, I commented this was a pretty subsidized dinner. He estimated if customer paid what it really cost, it would be a $35-$40 ticket.

My favorite is their crawfish dinner in August. I take home all the shells to make a bisque.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

What is an IKEA FAMILY member?
"To get long" meant to make do, to make well of whatever we had; it was about having a long view, which was endurance, and a long heart, which was hope.

There will be meatballs, of course, of course.

How can you not have köttbullar? I've been to a few of these (but never the Midsommer Smörgåsbord) and it's a good time and a great deal. I always appreciate the icy bottle of North Shore aquavit (an excellent version, light on the caraway).

That would be interesting, though I think that was confined to Europe. Darn!

I agree. Knowing horsemeat would be served would actually be a draw for me.

I had "Seabiscuit" sashimi in Japan and it was wonderful. Slightly gamey meat flavor with a pronounced mineral tang. It was served w/a few different dipping sauces. One miso based, one soy if I recall.
