Food Trucks Coming!!

a friend of mine called me this week to let me know that the food network "great food truck race" is coming to chicagoland this weekend (6/15-6/16). he actually is good friends with one of the trucks (https://www.facebook.com/AlohaPlateLunchPage) @alohaplatetruck- but figured it'd fun to check out all the trucks as they come. i don't believe they know where they're going to be or what not until friday, but something to look out for for those who wanna try things out (and help them out with finding locations).

the other trucks are @samboniboys and @tikatikatacos i believe.

Love to check this out! Maybe they'll be near the United Center? (Go Hawks!)

i was hoping so too (especially after that 3OT classic)... but they're going to be per their facebook:

Breaking News : This Saturday June 15 the Aloha Plate Truck will be at the King Kamehameha Day Chicago Celebration 12noon to 6PM 300 South Ashland ave Chicago

Maybe this will make Chicago politicians less antagonistic toward food trucks. One can hope so, anyway.

Fischman Liquors just posted that Tikka tikka tacos will be there on Sunday 6/16...
