Bloomington IL? You can come to our house, Steve! While we won't have burgers or chicken, as my husband's a vegetarian, but we have good beer and an adorable 10 month old daughter who will charm you with her smile!
Two places come to mind for you, both in Bloomington and both about 5 minutes from each other.
Lucca Grill is one of the oldest restaurants in B-ton. The managers are huge Hawks fans and they'll be sure to have the game on and a great vibe. The tvs are small and there is no chicken on the menu, but their burgers are okay. They are more known for their pizza, make sure you order it well done. The Cup came through our fair city back in '10 and there is a pic on the bar of the managers with it.
Schooners is the other place. Also old school, with fried chicken and burgers. I like their buffalo wings, but they are know for their giant pork tenderloin, as big as a hubcap.

Enjoy and make sure you report back! I'm always curious as to what others think of our funny town. Ive been away from Chicago for going on 4 years now and things have changed here for the better in the meantime.
