I don't think this is right. West of Mannheim on Grand is a Sonic, but no Culvers. The Culvers is east of there on 25th just south of Grand.
Just a note of interest: Turns out Bob-O's is owned by the same guys who own Rand Red Hots. I found this out in a recent discussion with one of the owners.BR wrote:You might want to consider Bob-O's, on Irving Park near Cumberland. Though I prefer the burgers at the Pup, Bob-O's is good. The real specialties at Bob-O's though are their homemade Italian beef (and cheesy beef), perhaps the most underrated in the Chicago area, and their skin-on fries. I think they're open Sunday, but you'll need to confirm.

That's it. Just thought y'all might find that interesting.

BR wrote:I have not yet been to Rand Red Hots, but I'm looking forward to trying it one of these days. You might be interested to know that one of the owners is the son of the owner of Bob-O's (not sure whether the son is also a part owner of Bob-O's), a place that oddly (and sadly) receives very little attention on this forum because they serve as good freshly cut fries as you'll find in Chicago (although I'll admit I was once a critic of them), excellent dogs, and very good beef. Purists may cry, but I also love their cheesy beef served on garlic bread.
Anyway, if you're looking for posts on Bob-O's, here are a couple I found: viewtopic.php?p=394034#p394034

12.95 gets you a top shelf burger with fries no waiting in line and free chips if you sit in the bar.
Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse
10233 W Higgins Rd, Rosemont
(847) 699-1200
Thursday hours 11:30 am–2:00 pm, 5:00 pm–10:00 pm
other reasons I would choose Harry's
- water service. I don't drink soda and a few glasses of ice water after an 8 hr flight would be great
- credit cards, not sure if Paradise takes them. In the past they did not
- beer

Great call - I've wanted to try the burger here.
Tuesday is Burger/Bourbon/Beer night at Owen and Engine (burger with fries, pint of beer, shot of bourbon for $15). It's the burger I miss most living away from Chicago... if I were you, I'd make the trip in for it.D.G.Sullivan wrote:She'll be coming in around 5:30PM on Tuesday the 2nd so the Pup is sadly out!
