I am sending out this message to get on your calendar! I have agreed to host the next dessert exchange at my home in Wheaton. Please come!! Plenty of air conditioning! Bring one dessert to share with other participants and containers to take home portions of the goodies. New folks encouraged. I will send out directions later. I live near major highways.

So wish I could make this date! It's close to home, though I still haven't lost the 5 lbs from the last time I was at your house for the exchange, Toria!

Hi from baby-land! Not to thread jack, but our munchkin, Spencer Edward, was born July 2 at 2:34am, almost exactly 3 weeks before his due date. He was 7 lb, 13 oz. All my photos are on my computer, not online somewhere, so I'm not sure how to post one here, but I will try to figure it out.
Anyways, I would love to come to this exchange, but, if it's ok, I will have to play it by ear in terms of what time I can get there since he's in the eating every 2-3 hours stage. Not sure what I will make yet.

Congrats Laura on the birth of Spencer Edward. Nice name. My son's middle name is also Edward, as it was my father's name, as well as my grandfathers name. We would love to see you come.

Please count me out. If I could make it, I would. I see it as a slim chance presently.

Time and weariness may dictate my dessert choice: I may have to end up making a single-layer chocolate thing instead. I know, I know, it will be hell. I'll surprise you all and possibly myself.
