Next up is laikom's recommendation, Taqueria El Asadero. It's gotten some mentions, but no dedicated thread. So if you value the element of delicious surprise, this could be the lunch for you.

I've been a couple of times. Very respectable. VERY small space. I think you might want to scope out the digs first before making this the site of a group lunch for 10...

I'll be there. I live right by asadero and walk past it daily. I'm sure there will be a lot more than 10 seats open there for lunch. It actually has ample seating, but I think it's all booth style, so we would probably have to split up into groups rather than one long table.

well the Hulk dined with us today & had the strength to simply move one of the 4spot tables next to another, so that the 6 of us could sit together, thanks Hulk ! :D

It had been awhile since I had some tasty asada as I nearly every time I do, the meat is dry & has little flavor. Taqueria El Asadero is an exception, I thoroughly enjoyed the asada here, moist with great flavor. Great pick Lincoln Square Lunch Group, thanks for setting it up.

Aw, shucks... I didn't do nuthin' nobody wouldn't have done..

Asadero is insanely consistent. I have been there probably 50 or so times (I live right around the corner and often get the craving), and I honestly don't remember a single visit when the asada wasn't fresh off the charcoal, as it was today. In my book it has always been the best taqueria north of Tierra Caliente, and I feel very lucky to have it in my 'hood.
