I have been to The Bungalow twice now, and it deserves its own thread, not to mention a large fan base.
I met a couple of friends here a few months ago and we all were enamored with the place; it's like eating in someone's living room. Tin signs line the walls, an old armoire showcases the dishes, and there is vintage decor everywhere. Swingin' jazz plays while you eat at the tables or lounge on the couch near the front. It's partly beatnik coffee house and part grandma's kitchen. The owner, a delightful Irish lady, doubles as the only waitress and there appears to be one cook; the service is a bit slow but you don't want to leave anyway. I wish I brought a camera, but you can check out photos on their Facebook page, though it's much nicer in person.
Today Mr. Pie and I stopped in for breakfast and I had Eggs Benedict and he had the Full Irish Breakfast; both of us were very pleased. The last time we went, I had the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, brown gravy and crispy onions and loved that too; it was like mom used to make, only better (sorry mom). Unfortunately, I can't remember everyone else's lunch, but I remember they liked it; one of my friends liked it so much he decided he might have his book signing here.
Both times, there were very few people there. I hope to help remedy that, as I could see this easily becoming a GNR.
