The Illinois BBQ Alliance is holding their annual fundraiser/membership drive on Sunday November 3, 2013 at Joe's Bar. This year's event will feature live demonstrations including a butchering demo by Rob Levitt from Butcher & Larder as well as demos by competition BBQ teams. There will also be activities for the whole family, not to mention a gigantic feast of BBQ items prepared by some of the finest BBQ chefs in the area.

Ticket cost is $50 and includes everything except liquor, which will be available from a cash bar. IBBQA members only pay $15 as a thank you for their support this year, and if you join as an individual member, you can save $10 on the cost of admission ($25 for your membership fee and $15 for the event). Full details are available on the IBBQA website, http://www.ibbqa.org. (In the name of full disclosure, I am a member of the IBBQA and my company designed and hosts the IBBQA website.) For info, please contact ilbbqalliance@gmail.com.

This is shaping up to be a great event. In the next couple of weeks, we will be giving away two pairs of tickets to this event to some lucky LTHers. Stay tuned for details on how you can win.

    Hi,

Arriving by 1:00 pm is not desired based on the schedule, it is hoped people arrive at 2:00 pm. Correct?

    Regards,
