Not much help to you on where to buy the chips, I do remember some chips being sold in the big boxes. It might have been Sam's, but I can't even say that they were the white corn chips.
I've been unable to find large chips for making nachos, so I decided to make my own using the big packages of El Milagro white corn tortillas. It's pretty easy. Dry the tortillas in a 200 degree oven for ten minutes, cut them up with a scissors in 3 pieces and then deep fat fry them. They turn out really good. I don't think I'm ever going to buy the chips again.
