Guangzhou, China (Guangdong Province)

For all of the long days I've spent working in Guangdong, this'll be the first time I'm actually staying there! Not sure how much free time there will be, but I'm anxious to explore a new town. We're staying at the Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe, which I'm told is in the central business district, but I don't know squat about Guangzhou proper so I'm not sure how meaningful that is. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
