    Rainbow Country Style

With winter quickly approaching, Pramote and Wanpen at Rainbow Cuisine Thai have been discussing adding some new heartier country-style dishes to the menu to help us get through the colder weather. I suggested we set up an LTH dinner to test out some new dishes. They loved the idea, and are getting really excited planning the menu. I have already sampled a couple of their new dishes, and not surprisingly they are worthy of lots of excitement. It will be a huge feast, with every dish new to Rainbow. The price will be something like $30 including tip. BYOB. I'll bring a bunch of homebrew.

Headcount shouldn't be an issue. They have been working with the landlord and are able to use the adjacent space for larger groups on a case by case basis.

Considering the size of the kitchenand cooking staff tho, I think it may be a god idea to keep it to a reasonable number--especially if they'll still be seating the main space with regular customers and still taking delivery orders. And you're at 15, not 14 (Gary & lemoneater both in the 5 slot.)

This is something I talked with the staff about already. They would like for it to be a larger group. They suggested 30, but I'll probably cap it at 25. They do a lot more business on a typical weekend day if you include deliveries, and this menu is pre-planned so less of a load. They can handle it. AlekH and anyone else up to 25 is in!

A sort of map of the upcoming menu. I'll type it out on the first post as soon as I get a few spare minutes.

A lot of interesting flavors in the dishes I've previewed. Cumin in the sour bamboo with red curry. Dill in the Turkey Kang Oum.

I stopped by Rainbow to check in. They said they are already planning for extra food and seating, so EvA and cabbagehead, you should be fine. I'm going to cut the list off here though, and start the wait list.
