    HI,

This is a website on Pennsylvania Dutch recipes. One which may be interesting is Shoo Fly Pie, which is a cake baked in a pie pan with a crumb crust. The origins of this pie's name has nothing to do with flies or shooing them away. The thought this pie looks like a cauliflower, whose french name is chou-fleur which sounds close to Shoo Fly.

    Good luck!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Scrapple - everything but the squeal. While it is definitely not one of the best foods of Pennsylvania, it is one of the more interesting ones.
When I grow up, I'm going to Bovine University!
