I will be catching the MegaBus tomorrow night at 11:45 pm. The METRA rail will get me down to Oglivie Transportation Center at 9:30 pm. What options - besides the food courts at OTC and Union Station are available? I do not want to walk too far as I will have some bags with me.

Greektown is just over the Jackson St. Bridge.

The French Market is just North of Ogilvie. It's a food court comprised of local vendors with lots of variety.

I think time of day is going to be your obstacle far more than geography. I really don't know what you can get in that vicinity at around 11PM. I used to work at 500 W. Monroe, and everything in the vicinity was geared to business lunchers. Your best bet might indeed be Greektown, with a call ahead to see just how late the kitchen will go.

Avec is about 3-4 blocks as is Sushi Sai which I always liked.
Haymarket is more like 5-6 blocks but frankly if I have time to kill a bar with good drafts and apps is where I would head.

Paramount Room isn't a bad bet, but perhaps a bit far for you. I go often, food is great, taps are craft and fairly priced.

New Line Tavern is right on Lake & Clinton. I've never been, but my parents often go and swear by the fries.

Also never been, but there's Ovie Bar & Grill in Ogilvie (distinct from the French Market).

With the bad weather, I think that I am going to pack a lunch and hang out in Union Station.

What about Saigon Sisters - it's just half a block or so and iirc there's overhang to walk under alot of the way?

Again it's a timing issue. He expects to get to Ogilvie at 9:30 and Saigon Sisters closes at 10:00. Cutting it close if the train's delayed even 5-10 minutes.
