I am surprised it hadn't been mentioned here on LTHF until {just} now.
This starts on Wednesday night, 20 November. The kick-off party will occur @ Kendall College starting at 6:30 pm. This session costs $65 {via Eventbrite}.
For me, the high point is being able to have Keizo Shimamoto's RamenBurger™. :D
This has seemingly taken New York City by storm since its introduction four months ago.
There are other sessions occurring through Saturday night, the 23rd. More data on them can be found linked to the kick-off URL.

Two segments from my "You Really Should Eat This" series (Hash at George's & Feijoada at Taste of Brasil Café) will be screened on Saturday.

I go to many food related events throughout the year, because I am in the food business for my living. I went to the Food Film Festival one night last year, and it was honestly one of the best events I attended all year. I do believe I had a coupon for a discounted price, but I enjoyed it enough to buy tickets for three nights this year. Hope to run into, and congratulate Mr. Hammond.

It's fun to eat what you're watching on screen.

Anyone planning on attending any of these evenings? I really enjoyed myself again last year, although $75 per ticket is kind of expensive, and even two nights are a splurge. I signed up for the best wings in America night on Wed and the Sriracha themed night. http://thefoodfilmfestival.com/chicago-2014-details/

I wish I could. I've always enjoyed the festival. I'll be out of town on those dates, though.
